Joe’s valley must be one of the top climbing area’s in America. Unfortunately we only had a few days to spend here and only took a few pics but we were overwhelmed by both the quantity and quality of boulders. Here are a few pics we did get:

Unfortunately the mountains in central Utah bear the scars of a lot of mining activity (mostly coal). This is an abandoned mine shaft we came across…
…and here’s an active mine right by one of the climbing areas.

But overall the mountains have recovered pretty darn well. Does it get much better than this?
