moab, utah

We arrived in Moab late at night and spent a good deal of time finding an unoccupied campsite. Eventually we were rewarded with a great spot right on the Colorado river where we set up for a few nights.

The next morning, we were a little disappointed to find the river a muddy brown color, but obviously it still needed to be swum in!  Here I am showing up dolphins the world over with my effortless grace.

These fresh tracks were left by the water’s edge (not too far from our tent!)

The next day we checked out Arches National Park which was a) very impressive but b) unbearably windy and c) unpleasantly hot.  This is us in front of Landscape Arch, the longest arch in the park at 300+ feet.
